BREAKING NEWS: North Stand Test Event Given Go Ahead

The club is delighted to announce that as a result of the tireless efforts and cooperation of all the relevant parties to ensure a safe environment for supporters, today’s North Stand test event can proceed as planned.

We fully understand fans’ frustrations at the lack of information provided in the lead up to today’s game but the priority has been to ensure that the event takes place in an entirely safe environment.

The club looks forward to welcoming fans to its’ new North Stand for this first test event and continues to work closely with the developer and certifying authorities to get the stand fully operational at the earliest opportunity.

We have this morning been granted an occupation certificate for a capacity of 1200 for this first test event and as a result only North Stand season ticket holders can participate. The reduced capacity means that only the four centre sections of seating will be open for fans to occupy and therefore, in order to comply with safety guidelines, seating will be on a strictly unreserved basis within these sections.

The concession stands will be open in the North Stand concourses.

North Stand season ticket holders should present their North Stand season ticket books at the turnstiles located at either end of the stand from 1.45pm today to gain admission where they will be given an unreserved seat ticket for the areas of the stand which are accessible.

Once the capacity for the event has been reached there will be no further admittance to the North Stand.

There will be no opportunity to purchase tickets for the North Stand for this test event.

North Stand season ticket holders who do not wish to participate in this test event should present there season ticket books at the turnstiles in either the TLH Auctioneers Rochdale Road Stand or George Hill Main Stand to gain admission to the ground.

The club would like to remind its disabled season ticket holders that there is no wheelchair access for this event and that facilities pertaining to such access and egress will be tested in the future.

We would again remind fans to arrive earlier than usual if at all possible to minimise congestion at the turnstiles.
