J D Williams Team Of The Week

12 September 2015

Oldham Athletic Community Trust would today like to welcome Boundary Park U7s, who are our J D Williams Team of the Week for this afternoon’s fixture against Peterborough United.

Boundary Park Juniors are a community club and provide structured coaching and organised football to children and young people in Oldham and the surrounding communities

The club currently comprises an Academy for ages 4 year old upward and teams ranging from U7s to U17s and have some 250 registered players across all age groups, plus the attendees at the academy.

Each team is managed and coached by at least two adults holding FA accredited coaching qualifications and CRB checked.

The club was formed in 1978 with one team and has grown since then we have seen successes over the years with no fewer than around 170 players progressing into the professional ranks.

In recent years the club have extended the range of age groups from u7 to u17 and our teams play in Mini-Soccer and 11-a-side leagues in and around the borough. As a club Boundary Park welcome boys and girls of all abilities.

Boundary Park u8s train on Clayton playing fields and feature several Latics fans. Last year saw the club have two teams at the u7s age group, however due to the growing popularity of the club this year there will be three teams at the age group.

The team at Oldham today has fantastic dedication from the lads and their parents. Last season was a very successful season and with plenty of developing talent.
