Darren Handley will be the man in charge of Saturday’s Lancashire derby with Wigan Athletic.
Handley has officiated six games this season, handing out 21 yellow cards and one red.
This will be the first time the referee has taken charge of an Oldham Athletic.
Shaun Hudson and Andrew Miller will assist the referee whilst Peter Gibbons will be Saturday’s fourth official.
