Level Playing Field Weeks Of Action (April 2-17, 2016) – Celebrating Access & Inclusion

Ron Cassidy has the honour of being the Honorary Disability Officer for Oldham Athletic, working with the fans and the club to improve the matchday experience of our wonderful disabled fans and to increase their involvement with the club.

Disabled people constitute the largest minority group at around 15% of the population and this number is increasing year on year.

Naturally a large number of disabled people are football fans too and we are pleased to take this opportunity to thank our own disabled fans for their continued loyalty and dedication to this great club.

But we also appreciate that many disabled people have yet to share the passion and pleasures of being involved in football. Oldham Athletic is pleased to and welcome disabled fans along with their families and friends.

As such, Oldham Athletic are pleased to support the Level Playing Fiend Weeks of Action 2016 by holding an open meeting in the new North Stand for all disabled supporters to discuss matters of common concern and to discuss the possibility of forming a Disabled Supporters Association.

This meeting will be on Friday, April 15 at 2pm in the North Stand.

Lift access and disabled toilets are available. We are joining together with sports clubs, fans and organisations across England and Wales who are all #united4access and have chosen to share one common message - access and inclusion for all.
