Fan Behaviour Against Fleetwood Town

18 April 2016

The club would like to thank the vast majority of supporters who acted in a responsible manner at the recent match against Fleetwood Town.

The vocal support provided made a huge difference to the team and drew praise from both the management and players.

However, a very small minority of ‘fans’ let the club down on Saturday due to their irresponsible behaviour.

The club can not condone the behaviour of the supporters who encroached onto the pitch nor those who released smoke grenades in the away section.

Not only are these supporters risking injury to themselves but they risk the health and safety of fellow supporters who are there to watch and cheer their team in the correct manner.

Due to the actions of one or two, and given previous incidents this season, the club are now facing the prospect of a fine from the Football Association which could lead to a reduction in the playing budget for next season.

We are currently working closely with the police and Fleetwood Town to identify those involved and anyone found responsible for this type of behaviour will face an immediate club ban from SportsDirect.com Park.
