Believe And Achieve Trust Donate Money To Oldham Athletic Academy

17 August 2016

The Believe and Achieve Trust, set up in memory of late Latics fan Alex Williams, have donated a sum of money to the Oldham Athletic academy.

This is the second year in which the Believe and Achieve Trust have supported the Oldham Athletic academy and manager Tony Philliskirk could not thank the Trust enough for their generosity.

He said: “The money is used for some of the less privileged boys that we have got in the academy who are from single parent families.

“Things aren’t getting cheaper these days and it’s an expensive piece of kit so Alison, who set up the charity in her sons name, is aware the money goes to less privileged lads who haven’t got the support of a full family like the majority of the boys have got.

“This is Alex’s legacy, I know he would have wanted this and it’s what Alison wants and she is delighted she can help them.

“Hopefully the young lads can go on to become apprentices and eventually go on to represent the first team and her being able to give us that money goes a long way and is a massive help.”
