Green Believes Latics Are Going To Get Better And Better

26 August 2016

Midfielder Paul Green has settled into life at Oldham Athletic well and believes the side can only get better and better as the season goes on.

The experienced central midfielder has been a key figure in Athletic’s early season form and adapted to his new surroundings well.

He said: "I’ve really settled in well. It’s a new group so we’re all in the same in the same boat and everyone is bonding really well which is starting to show on the pitch.

“I’m really enjoying it here and I’m feeling good.”

Whilst manager Stephen Robinson has built a whole new team in a short space of time, Green admitted the lads are really buying into what he expects from them.

“The lads are getting an understanding of what the gaffer expects and you can see on the pitch we are organised,” he commented.

"We are missing a few more goals in the final third but it will come and I’m sure of that. We are creating chances but it is nice to get a few clean sheets as well.”

Latics travel to Valley Parade tomorrow to face Bradford City and Green is expecting a tough game.

“I have played there a couple of times and the crowd will be big. It will be a tough game but I’m sure the gaffer will get us right for it,” he said.

“I’m sure the lads will love it there as well playing in front of a big crowd."
