Striker Freddie Ladapo is delighted to be an Oldham Athletic player after signing a loan agreement until January yesterday.
The striker has been a long term target of manager Stephen Robinson and he is finally delighted to join the club.
Speaking before yesterday’s game against Carlisle United, Ladapo said: “I’m happy to be finally here.
"The football is here and that’s what I want to do. I want to be playing and enjoying myself so I’m very happy to be here.”
Scoring is something the 23-year-old thrives on: “That’s what I enjoy doing,” he said.
"I enjoy scoring, I enjoy celebrating and helping my team to win games and do better so hopefully I can bring that here.
“When you enjoy scoring goals then that’s all you want to do when you get on the pitch so I think I’ll do well here."
The striker has experience at this level with Colchester United and believes his exploits in pre-season will help him during this loan spell.
“I had a decent pre-season over in America and in the UK with Crystal Palace,” he said.
“I scored against AFC Wimbledon as well so I enjoyed my time in pre-season there and I was on the bench for the opening two games of the season so that was a good experience for me."
