We have had plenty of applications for the Junior Takeover initiative and encourage all young fans to apply soon!
Following on from the success of last season’s Junior Takeover, we are again running the initiative for the game against Gillingham on Saturday, January 14.This initiative is to encourage more young supporters to get involved with the football club in a unique way.
For the game against Gillingham on Saturday, January 14, we will be taken over by a number of chosen junior supporters who will fill certain positions on a matchday.
We have six positions to fill including a webmaster, a director, a chief executive, a matchday announcer, a grounds person and a safety officer.
This will give any young fan aged between 7-14 a rare chance to see behind-the-scenes at SportsDirect.com Park and experience a matchday in a different way.
Chief Executive Mark Moisley said: “We are once again inviting junior supporters to apply for positions at the club following on from last year’s successful takeover.
“We received positive feedback from all areas last season and had no hesitation to work with the Community Trust to run this initiative again.
“For any child growing up and thinking of pursuing a career in football, this is a perfect opportunity to experience a matchday from an alternative perspective.”

The deadline for all applications will be 5pm on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 with the successful applicants being informed on Monday, January 9, 2017.
