Mark Heywood will be the man in charge of the Boxing Day clash against Sheffield United.
In his 20 games in charge this season, Heywood has handed out 92 yellow cards and three reds.
Heywood last officiated Latics in the 0-0 draw with Chesterfield earlier in the season.
Geoffrey Liddle and Christopher Ward will assist the referee whilst Peter Gooch will be Monday’s fourth official.
