Last night we launched our #KnowTheScore campaign in association Tifosy, headed by former Chelsea and Watford manager Gianluca Vialli.Businesses and fans were in attendance at yesterday’s event to have an exclusive viewing of the promotional video which will hopefully help raise substantial money to fund a scoreboard.
The scoreboard would be provided by ADI at a cost of £120,000 to make the matchday experience all the more enjoyable for supporters.
Vialli, who is supporting the campaign, said: “In order to make the game experience for the fans, you need to continue to add bits and pieces to the stadium and one thing that would make a huge difference to supporters will be a big screen.
“It’s not just about signing a player, players come and go, this is something that will last forever so this is something all the Oldham Athletic fans will be proud of.
“I think it is a great opportunity to strengthen the relationship between the club and the fans because this project is for the fans. It’s a project for the community and it’s a legacy for the club.
"It’s not about how much you donate, it’s about donating with meaning and doing it for your club. It’s about investing in the future of your club and feeling part of something.”
Commercial Director Mark Moisley added: “We really hope that fans will get behind this exciting project. It’s something that can be of real benefit to supporters and will also provide an additional much needed revenue stream for the club.”
