Supporter Information For Blackpool

15 February 2016

Your Supporter Liaison Officer gives you some helpful information for tomorrow night’s game against Blackpool.

How to get to the stadium and public transport information
Bloomfield Road is located in central Blackpool, just south of Blackpool town centre and only a few hundred metres from the Promenade (between the South and Central Pier).

It easily accessible by car - the postcode for the ground is FY1 6HX. Follow the M55 into Blackpool and at the first roundabout at the end of the motorway continue straight on along Yeadon Way, becoming Seasiders Way. This leads directly to the stadium.

The nearest train station is Blackpool South which is about 10-15 minutes walk away from the ground. This station is served by regional trains.

There is a train to Preston at 22:07 for connections.

Blackpool North has a more frequent train service but is a 20 to 30-minute walk (2 miles) from the ground.

There are some buses from the town centre (close to North station) which go to the ground.

Supporters are advised that the transport system isn’t very joined up when it comes to connecting buses & trains: Now that Blackpool is now without a bus station, the bus stops are not helpfully located for visitors to find easily. For more information, please visit www.blackpooltransport.com or www.nationalrail.co.uk.

Car Parking including Blue Badge Parking Information
There are a number of large, council owned car parks along Yeadon Way and Seasiders Way.

Bloomfield car park is the large car park located just before reaching the stadium. It has 617 spaces and 25 blue badge spaces. No height restriction.

Lonsdale car park is directly opposite the West Stand. It has 172 spaces and 18 blue badge spaces. Height barrier 1.9 m (6ft 3in).

Both car parks cost £3.50 for 3 hours and £7.50 for up to 12 hours. (for cars).

Please be aware that charges apply at all times.

There are pay and display machines which take credit/debit cards.

They do not give change.

Blue badge holders must display a clock beside their badge showing their arrival time to qualify for a 3 hour free concession.

Seasiders Way car park is just beyond the stadium and closest to the away end. This is also a large coach park which allows Motor Homes so no height restriction. The cost for a car is the same as listed above.

Free off street parking can be found in the residential streets to the east side of the ground, off Central Drive.  This area is popular with home fans so early arrival is recommended.
