Forward Danny Philliskirk has completed a move to fellow Sky Bet League One side Blackpool for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old former Chelsea and Sheffield United player signed for Latics in August 2013 following his release from Coventry City.
He went on to play 123 games in a two and a half year spell with the club, scoring 25 goals.
Philliskirk leaves the club with seven goals to his name this season and manager David Dunn is disappointed to see him leave.
He said: “He is a terrific professional and although he gets a lot of stick at times, I knew I could always trust him.
“Having said that, with him leaving, it gives us chance to bring in players in different positions that we need.”
The club would like to thank Danny for his services and wish him the best for the future.
