Oldham Athletic have appealed the red card shown to full back Connor Brown in the first half of Saturday’s defeat to Bradford City.
Brown was dismissed on 41 minutes after a strong challenge with Bantams winger Kyel Reid. The match official deemed it an offence worthy of dismissal and Bradford capitalised on the man advantage, claiming all three points through Tony McMahon’s second half header.
The appeal will now be considered by a Football Association Regulatory Commission with a decision announced later this week.
