Striker Rhys Murphy has returned to the club after a loan spell with Crawley Town full of confidence and he wants to continue that momentum until the end of the season.
Murphy netted nine times in 15 appearances for the Red Devils and since his move back to Latics, he has scored two goals in two appearances.
With the striker brimming with confidence, he is delighted to be back in and amongst the goals. He said: “It’s nice to be back in the fold and it’s nice to be playing again.
“The goals are going in and it’s nice to be contributing so hopefully the points will start raking up as well.
"I’m looking forward to every game thinking there is more goals for me but the team are showing positives recently. With a few more wins and a bit more luck, we can shoot up the table in no time.
"Confidence is a massive part of football. When the goals are going in, you can’t help being confident and I’m looking forward to every game.
“Last year it was hard for me to come in because I had no form and no fitness but this year I’m doing well and long may it continue.”
Millwall are the visitors to SportsDirect.com Park tomorrow afternoon and the 25-year-old believes his side will need to be at their best to get something out of the game.
“It will be a tough game but it’s at home and the new stand is open and the fans have really been behind us so hopefully we can give them a bit more to cheer about,” commented Murphy.
“Every game is going to be a tough one now until the end of the season but it’s important for us to show what we are capable of, take the game to them and hopefully get a positive result."
