New loan signing Cameron Burgess enjoyed his first day of training and is looking forward to what the season holds after signing on loan from Fulham yesterday.
The 20-year-old penned a six-month loan deal and is excited for his time with the football club.
He said: "It is a good opportunity to be here, play for a good team and under a good manager so I’m looking forward to getting started.
"I’m loving being here. The lads are all brand new, all good and help me along with things so hopefully I get set up and ready to go.”
Burgess trained with his teammates for the first time yesterday: “It was all about fitness, learning how the manager wants us to play and gelling together and that’s what it’s all about."
Tonight’s game against Preston North End (7pm kick off) will be Burgess’ first game in an Oldham Athletic shirt.
“I can’t wait,” he expressed. “It’s going to be a good game and I’ll be playing against a former Fulham teammate Ben Pringle so it will be good to play against him and the other lads and also to play with my teammates for the first time."
