Klok: “I Fell In Love With Oldham.”

15 July 2016

Midfielder Marc Klok admitted he has fallen in love with Oldham Athletic after signing his short term contract earlier this week.

Klok, who has been on trial with the club, earned a professional contract this week after impressing new manager Steve Robinson.

The 23-year-old’s goal was to always play in England he admits it’s a dream come true to play for Latics.

He said: “I fell in love with Oldham last week when I was here and I have great first impressions of this place.

"When I was a kid I told my father I always wanted to play in England one day. I went to Scotland with ambitions of moving to England afterwards but that didn’t work out but now I am here.

“I’ve kept believing and putting the work in and you will succeed.”

Supporters will be relatively unfamiliar with Klok, so he gave them a flavour of what to expect from him during his stay.

“My special skills are my work ethic, my effort that I put in and my dedication to succeed,” he admitted.

"Into the game, I am a rough player, I tackle, I pass, I’m good on the ball and that’s who I am.

"I want to score some goals as well but that’s not the main job from where I am. If I had the opportunity I would try and put some goals in.

"I have to show to the fans that I am worth being here. I will do everything it takes to be a success at Oldham.”
