With the new season a matter of weeks away, Oldham Athletic Community Trust are looking for local grassroots clubs to be a part of the JD Williams Team Of The Week initiative for the upcoming season.
The JD Williams Team of the Week allows local grassroots teams the opportunity to take part in pre match activities at SportsDirect.com Park on an Oldham Athletic matchday along with the chance to play on the first team pitch at half time.
As was the case for last season the age limit for those looking to apply is U11s and below with places on the day restricted to between 14-16.
As part of the day the teams will receive:
• A pre-match game on the clubs training pitch
• A write up in the matchday programme and also on the club’s official website
• Complimentary tickets for all squad players with ticket offers available for spectators attending
• A half-time game on the SportsDirect.com Park pitch at half-time
Andrew Nesbitt, OACT Community Coach added: “The JD Williams Team Of The Week is a great way for local teams to be apart of an Oldham Athletic matchday in a unique way. The day offers youngsters the opportunity to play on a professional pitch, something which many dream of but very few get the chance to experience.”
Teams that are interested are urged to apply quickly due to limited availability with spaces filling up quickly last season.
