The club and manager John Sheridan have a message for supporters ahead of tomorrow afternoon’s clash with local rivals Rochdale.
Everyone involved at the club would like to complement our supporters on their tremendous vocal support at recent games both home and away, it really makes a positive difference out on the pitch and long may it continue.
It is important to Oldham Athletic that we retain our family club appeal and that all supporters respect this and act in a responsible manner whether following the team at home or away.
Anti social behaviour such as foul language, releasing smoke grenades or going onto the pitch does nothing to promote our family club image and is really not welcome at any of our games.
This type of behaviour puts the club at risk of action from the football authorities which can include financial penalties, taking much needed cash from the playing budget.
Lets all pull together and support our club in a positive way.
