Striker Aaron Amadi-Holloway has been in impressive form since his arrival at SportsDirect.com Park last month.
The 23-year-old put in a man of the match display against Rochdale last weekend but was unfortunately on the losing side.
He grabbed two goals, including a goal of the season contender, and he has adapted well to life in Sky Bet League One.
He said: "I’ve taken it in my stride. It’s not been a bigger difference in leagues than I thought. I think I’ve settled in quite well.
"Loan players have more to prove when coming into a new club. We are all giving 100% so we’ve all helped each other massively.”
Victory over Burton Albion tomorrow will take Latics out of the relegation zone but Holloway knows it will not be an easy task against the league leaders.
“It’s going to be a very tough game but we have a lot to prove,” he commented.
“We have a lot more at stake than Burton Albion so hopefully that will make the difference.”
The game will be shown live on Sky Sports, but that will be at the back of the Welshman’s head.
“I don’t think people think about that when we play. You forget about that and get on with the game,” he said.
Reflecting on his time with the club so far, Holloway said: “Performances since I have been here have been half decent.
“We have got the results we needed and we just need to grind out more results and I personally think we can stay up.”
