Manager John Sheridan has been nominated for the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month award for February.
Sheridan earns the nomination after steering Latics into a good position to get out of the relegation zone in an unbeaten month.He masterminded two victories during the month and his side drew three games.
The first win of the month came against promotion-chasing Gillingham as Tim Dieng and Jonathan Forte fired two second half goals to complete the comeback and record the club’s first win at home in the league since August.
They followed up that result with an impressive 2-1 victory away at Peterborough United.
Latics also recorded two clean sheets during the month with goalless draws against in-form Wigan Athletic and Blackpool.
Sheridan is nominated alongside Wigan manager Gary Caldwell, Swindon Town boss Luke Williams and Barnsley caretaker head coach Paul Heckingbottom.
The winner of the award will be announced on Friday, March 11.
