#KnowTheScore is gathering momentum and has already reached 10% of the £120,000 target to buy and install a big screen!
The campaign is being run in association with Trust Oldham and is a campaign for the fans, by the fans.
The screen is therefore going to be a fan-owned asset which means that ALL money raised by the campaign will be ring-fenced the screen ONLY.
This week’s featured campaign prize is all about Latics legend Roger Palmer.
Palmer is Oldham’s all-time record goal-scorer with an impressive tally of 141 goals scored in all competitions for Latics.
Palmer spent 14 happy seasons wearing Oldham blue and was an integral part of the famous sides that reached the League Cup Final and FA Cup semi-finals in 1990 under the stewardship of Joe Royle.
He was also a key member of the 1990/91 team that dramatically clinched promotion on the final day of the season coming from 2-0 down to beat Sheffield Wednesday. A true Latics great.
Roger will be in attendance at the crucial derby with Rochdale on Saturday, March 19. #KnowTheScore is running an auction with the winner:
- Joining Roger for executive lunch.
- Sitting next to Roger for the big match.
- Receiving an official Latics ball signed by the great man.
This is a unique chance to hear first-hand about Latics greatest moments from a man who was there and helped make them happen!
The auction will be live from Friday, March 10 – Saturday, March 12.
