Charity Game Raises Over £2,000

17 May 2016

Over £2,000 was raised on Thursday night and will be split between Once Upon a Smile and Prostate Cancer UK.

Celebrity stars and Latics legends lined up in front of a healthy SportsDirect.com Park crowd which saw the legends run out 4-1 winners.

Daniel Jillings, Once Upon A Smile Co-Founder, said: “We wish to thank Oldham Athletic Football Club and all that gave up their time to volunteer and help on the day, without them we would not have been able to have held such a successful event in aid of two brilliant causes.

“Previous games held for Once Upon a Smile at Oldham have always been successful and this is due to the club’s and staff’s willingness to support good causes. I wish to also thank those that attended for making it a brilliant occasion.”

One man who made an appearance was internet sensation and Oldham Athletic steward Andy Tate. A video blog of his day can be found at the bottom of this article.
