Manager John Sheridan has been nominated for the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month for April.
Sheridan masterminded the great escape for Latics during the month, winning four of his seven games to steer the club to safety.Wins, and clean sheets, were picked up against Swindon Town, Walsall, Southend and Crewe Alexandra which secured the club’s Sky Bet League One status for next season.
Sheridan is up for the award alongside Wigan Athletic manager Gary Caldwell, Scunthorpe United boss Graham Alexander and Bradford City gaffer Phil Parkinson.
Winners of the award will be announced on Friday (May 6) morning.
