Flynn Fully Concentrated On Tomorrow’s Game Against Peterborough United

25 November 2016

Midfielder Ryan Flynn is not phased by issues off the field and is fully concentrated on Saturday’s game against Peterborough United.

Off-field issues have dominated the headlines this week, however, the midfielder was quick to assure supporters the player’s minds are fully focused on three points tomorrow afternoon.

He said: "Our job is to make sure to get results on the pitch. After the Port Vale we took the positives by the way we came back and the character that we showed to get the point we deserved.

“We recovered and got our rest ahead of the Peterborough United game, that’s what happens in the week, that’s what we’ve done and that doesn’t change.”

Peterborough United are the visitors to Park this weekend and Flynn knows it will be a tough test.

“Peterborough are a really good footballing side and they are doing really well this season,” he commented.

"They score a lot of goals so we will have to make sure to keep it tight. We will look to exploit them and we will look to take the game to them, especially as we are at home.

“We need to keep the performance levels high and hopefully we will get our just rewards and turn our form around.”

Whilst Flynn is frustrated only to come away with one point this week so far, he believes it won’t be long until the club turns around its form around.

“We are playing a lot of good football and creating a lot of chances but it’s just that final bit which is letting us down at the moment,” he said.

“We can control our performances and make sure we continue that level throughout the rest of the season.

“If we weren’t creating chances then I would be worried but it will definitely turn around with the chances we create and we will start putting them away.”
