Kallum Mantack impressed throughout for Alfreton Town in their FA Cup first round clash with Newport County last night.
The full back played 120 minutes of football as the Reds forced the Sky Bet League Two side to extra time but they eventually fell to a 4-1 defeat.
Mantack earned plaudits for his defensive display and attacking threat but Alfreton Town’s FA Cup dream was ended courtesy of three goals in extra time for Newport County.
Meanwhile, Danny Byrnes scored a free kick for Ossett Albion last night but was unable to prevent his side from falling to a 2-4 home defeat, whilst Lee Knight played the full game for Ashton United in their 2-0 win over Warrington Town.
