Moisley Appointed Chief Executive On Permanent Basis

24 November 2016

Mark Moisley has been appointed the club’s new Chief Executive on a permanent basis having stepped into the role as an interim measure following the departure of Neil Joy last month.

The appointment was rubber stamped at Tuesday’s board meeting.

Mark has been with the club for two years in his previous role as Commercial Director.

He has, however, worked in sport for over 16 years and hopes the experience gained from roles with a number of different organisations including Sunderland AFC, IMG and player agency Sport First, will prove invaluable in his new position.

He made an immediate impression with supporters last month by instigating a supporter survey which resulted in reducing ticket prices to the lowest in the division.

Mark commented: “We are all aware of the current difficulties the club face, however I had no hesitation in accepting the challenge to take on the role permanently.

“You have to have belief in your ability and confidence that you can make a difference.

“We have a tremendously hard working staff behind the scenes from the manager down, and we are determined to do whatever we can to move the club forward.

"We need the club and the fans to pull together and I hope three points on Saturday can be a start.”

Tanya Blakey has been appointed into the role of Football Secretary.
