International Duty Round Up

10 October 2016

Cameron Dummigan captained his Northern Irish under 21 side to a 1-1 draw against Ukraine over the weekend.

The full back played the full 90 minutes as Northern Ireland took the lead but were pegged back straight away.

Ryan McLaughlin did not feature after picking up a slight thigh injury but both are expected to feature tomorrow in their qualifier against France.

Luke Woodland featured in Philippines 3-1 home defeat to Bahrain whilst Calaum Jahraldo-Martin had a mixed time on international duty.

His Antigua and Barbuda side lost their first game 3-0 against Curaçao but beat Puerto Rico 2-0 as Jahraldo-Martin played the full 90 minutes in both games.

Dylan King unfortunately scored an own goal as Northern Ireland under 19s lost to Slovakia 1-0 in their opening game, with Brendy Glackin playing the final 20 minutes of the game.

However, the pair played the full 90 minutes in their dramatic 2-1 victory over FYR Macedonia on Saturday as the under 19s scored in the final minute to win the game.

The pair will both be in contention for tomorrow’s game against Poland before flying home and linking up with their youth teammates.
