Supporter Survey - Results

27 October 2016

Here is a statement from interim chief executive Mark Moisley regarding the recent supporter survey.

A huge thank you to all supporters who took the time to complete the survey issued this week. We were delighted to receive over 1,000 responses in the first two days.

The fall in attendances so far this season is clearly a concern and one that we wish to address as soon as possible. The input is therefore invaluable to ensure any changes or initiatives which are introduced are meeting fans requirements.

The full results of the survey are attached, and I have highlighted some key areas.

Pricing – a number of initiatives were introduced this season such as the Season Ticket price promotion, free under 12 Season Tickets in the Family Section and the reduction of match day tickets to £20 for advance purchases. An overriding number of supporters, however, have said the on the day price of £24 is too high, with 90% of respondents stating this to be the case. The response to the recent two for one ticket promotion for the Scunthorpe and Bristol Rovers game, however, was disappointing, and the overall pricing structure will therefore be reviewed.

Matchday experience – over 37% of fans also felt the match day experience for fans could be improved. This is another key area for the club and one where measures taken over the last twelve months include the opening of the North Stand hospitality facilities and concourse bars, the introduction of 24 television screens throughout the ground and a designated family section providing entertainment for children prior to kick off. We are constantly looking at additional ways to improve this and will review the many suggestions provided from the survey.

Atmosphere – whilst conscious that this is largely down to what happens on the pitch, nevertheless there are ways to help improve the atmosphere and again we will review the many suggestions.

We want to work closely with supporters in all these areas and will announce details of our first initiative shortly.
