Young defender George Edmundson has been nominated for the rising star category at the North West Football Awards.
The young defender, who is currently out on loan at National League North side Alfreton Town, made two appearances for Latics last season.Edmundson helped his side to two clean sheets in those games and has now been nominated for the North West Rising Star award.
