Oldham Athletic recorded a 3-0 win over Burton Albion at the weekend.
Brendy Glackin grabbed a brace whilst Chinedu Uche scored the other goal in a resounding win against the second-placed team in the division and manager Tony Philliskirk was delighted with his players performance.
He said: “We played a very good strong team but I was very pleased with the way we played.
“We were excellent attacking wise, we were very threatening and at the other end, we got the last ditch tackle in or Callum O’Neil made a save to keep the clean sheet in tact.
“We were suffering recently as we needed to be clinical in front of goal and we needed to be better defensively but it all came together on Saturday.
“We did the basics well and we were a lot more positive in our play. All in all it was a very good mornings work and it was a deserved victory.”
