Edmundson Takes Part In EFL Day Of Action

26 April 2017

Defender George Edmundson visited three schools and four sessions as part of the EFL Day of Action yesterday.

Edmundson visited Thornham Primary School, Crompton House and Oldham Academy North as he interacted with children and 

Thornham is a primary school partner of the club and Oldham Athletic Community Trust (OACT) deliver after school football on a weekly basis.

OACT deliver a girls only session at Crompton House as part of the Premier League Women’s and Girl’s project, whilst George took in two sessions at Oldham Academy North.

Firstly he helped deliver a Futsal Skills Centre project and his final session of the day was the Street Jammers dance group, where he joined in the group. 

Community manager Martin Vose said: “Yesterday’s events was part of a national campaign to raise awareness of what community schemes up and down the country do. 

"It was fantastic to play a part in such a widespread campaign putting football clubs at the heart of the community. 

“Yesterday demonstrated the wide range of projects that Oldham Athletic Community Trust deliver on a daily basis and it was great to be recognised by the EFL for this."
