Manager John Sheridan wants to reward fans for their loyalty this season.
Bragging rights are at stake as local rivals Rochdale visit SportsDirect.com
Park this weekend in the final home game of the season.
Speaking ahead of the game, the gaffer said: "It’s a derby game and we want to win. We are playing our local rivals and the plus is what we are trying to do and what they are trying to do.
“They are trying to keep themselves in a play off position which is still possible for them and we have got to win to make sure that we are definitely in this division next season.
"Both teams will want to win the game and it’s set to be a good game. They are a good team, I think Keith does a great job there, I like him as a person, they play good football.
“He will have had us watched and he will know that it will be a tough game.
“It’s bragging rights for the supporters and I’d like to win it because it’s the last game at home and I’d like to win it for the supporters."
"Derbies are usually close. It was close last season. We both want to win and it will be two teams who will be trying to win the game.
"It will make for a good encounter. I just hope we win it for the supporters and finish off with a win at home.”
In terms of injury news, Anthony Gerrard and Aaron Amadi-Holloway could return to the starting 11 after missing previous games with injury.
“We will wait and see how everyone is,” admitted Sheridan. “They are all coming on fine so we will wait and see.
“We will give it as long as we can before making a decision and finalising my team but whatever team I put out, I am hoping will be ready for the tough game and know the purpose that we can get something from the game to get us mathematically safe.
“I just want to finish on a high and the players have done well since I’ve come back, especially at home, so I think this game is for the supporters to get the bragging rights."
With safety all but achieved, the manager was asked whether he had started planning for next season, which he replied: “I don’t want to count my chickens.
"I’m very confident we will stay up but while other teams are still around us, I’ve just got to be wary. In the back of my mind, though, I am planning for next season.”
