When five-year-old Thomas Young wrote a letter to the football club, he probably didn’t expect the response he got.
Thomas wrote a heartwarming letter offering to be the club’s new goalkeeper once Connor Ripley completes his loan spell.Almost immediately, Thomas received an email back from the club’s chairman Simon Corney.
He asked the youngster to come for a trial before Saturday’s game against Rochdale to see if he had what it took to be the club’s new goalkeeper.
Thomas was put through his paces by Connor Ripley, Chris Kettings and goalkeeping coach Carlo Nash.
Here is a picture gallery of Thomas’ day.
We hope he had a good one & hope the experience lives with him forever!
