On this day in 1992, Oldham Athletic began their first ever season in England’s newly renamed top flight, the Premier League.
Latics began their campaign against now five-time winners Chelsea.
The game was played in front of 20,699 spectators at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge and finished 1-1.
Mick Harford had given Chelsea the lead before Latics hero Nick Henry equalised in the 86th minute to the delight of the Oldham fans.
