Winger Ryan McLaughlin has been called up to the Northern Ireland squad whilst full back Cameron Dummigan has been called up to the under 21 side.
McLaughlin has been called up to Michael O'Neill's first team squad to face San Marino on Friday, September 1, and the Czech Republic on Monday, September 4.
Dummigan will link up with former Latics assistant manager and current Northern Ireland under 21 manager Ian Baraclough as they face Albania and Slovakia.
Both will miss Athletic's Checkatrade Trophy game against Port Vale on August 29 and Sky Bet League One clash against Charlton Athletic on September 2.
