Bryan: “It’s Exciting To Move Here.”

31 August 2017

Deadline Day signing Kean Bryan cannot wait to show the Oldham Athletic fans what he is about.

The 20-year-old signed on loan until January 1 and believes the move will be good for his development.

He said: “It’s exciting to move here. It’s been a long pre-season with City in the loan group but I can’t wait to get playing and show the fans what I can do.

“It’s about getting games and this is the right platform for me at this point in time. It allows me to get out and play as many games as I can so as long as I’m playing, I’m happy so that’s the main thing.

“I’m a centre midfielder who can play in the centre of defence as well. I’ve got some fight in me, I like to tackle, I’m left footed and I love football so I just can’t wait to get out there now.”

Bryan is aware of the challenges in League One due to a loan spell with Bury last season and he is excited to link up with manager John Sheridan.

“I’ve heard good things about the manager, how he works with players on a one-to-one basis so I think that’s good for me and that’s what I like so I’m looking forward to it,” he commented.

Bryan will link up with former teammate Jack Byrne who signed on loan from Wigan Athletic earlier this week.

“We’ve been messaging all day knowing what’s going on behind closed doors but he’s a great player and I can’t wait to get back playing with him,” he said.

“We had some good times at City and I can’t wait to get back on the pitch with him.”
