Winger Chris Taylor faces his former side Millwall this weekend and believes home advantage could prove important tomorrow afternoon.
Taylor, who returned to the club in the January transfer window, had two spells with the Lions, most recently at the end of last season.
The winger believes Millwall but a tough encounter but has confidence his side can beat anybody at home.
He said: "They are a threat from set pieces and they have some big players in their squad. The lads up front thrive off goals and they do score a lot.
"They are also tight at the back so they have a good blend going at the moment. We will have to take confidence from the performances we've had at home, though.
"The fans have really got behind us and at the minute, we fancy ourselves against anybody on our own patch.
"Saturday will be no different but Millwall are a top six side but we know if we can play our game then we will give ourselves a good chance."
Taylor moved on loan to Latics from Bolton Wanderers last month. "I've not had time to properly settle down as it's been game after game so in that way it's been alright," he commented.
"The lads have really welcomed me and we've managed to get ourselves into a half decent position from before but we know there is a long way to go.
"Fitness wise I have struggled towards the end of games but I feel fitter with every game that goes by."
The fans gave Taylor a huge reception on his return and the 30-year-old could not thank them enough for their support.
"When the fans are on your side then it can give you a massive lift," he said
"The way the fans have been with me, not just now but when I was a kid, they've always been fantastic with me so it's just brilliant and I hope they can keep on supporting us."
