The club would like to thank the vast majority of fans for their excellent support on Saturday.
The noise made in the second half, especially after going down to 10 men, really drove the lads on to gain the vital three points against Chesterfield.
Whilst we completely understand the goal was of significant importance for our survival hopes, we cannot condone fans who encroached onto the pitch when the goal went in.
We are keen to stress this is only a minority of supporters, however their behaviour has left the club facing a potential investigation by the Football Association.
This is in addition to the ongoing police investigation, where we are assisting in trying to identify those concerned.
Please can we reiterate that no fans should enter the field of play and anybody found doing so will face prosecution and a ban from future games.
Again, we would like to thank fans for their support at the weekend and we hope to keep that going until the end of the season.
