Hunt: “It Was An Easy Decision For Me.”

14 July 2017

Full back Rob Hunt admitted it was an easy decision to sign for the club on a long-term permanent basis.

The 22-year-old, who signed for Brighton & Hove Albion, joined the club yesterday on a three-year deal and was delighted to sign.

He said: “I’m delighted to sign. It was an easy decision for me just to get regular football and I’m just glad to be back.

“It’s good to have security at any age in football. Obviously my main aim is to play regularly and help the team as much as possible.

“It’s a good group of boys and that was another reason why it was an easy decision to come back.”

Hunt played 10 games last season as he helped keep Latics in Sky Bet League One.

“It was a good spell,” he admitted. “We did well but like I said before, we should never have been in that position so hopefully this season we can push on and aim high.

“It’s good to keep the main players together and build around that and then push on this season.”

Hunt also praised manager John Sheridan who he admitted was a big factor behind his move back to the club.

“He is laid-back, easy to get on with and you know what he wants every day and every game so it was an easy decision,” he said.
