Oldham Athletic drew 1-1 with Curzon Ashton at the Tameside Stadium last night.
John Sheridan’s starting eleven featured a number of the younger squad members with George Edmundson, Kallum Mantack, Darius Osei and Mason Fawns given a starting place, as well as Jamie Stott who made his return to Curzon after a loan spell at the National League North Side last season.
The manager took the opportunity to give most of his squad a run out with 10 outfield changes at half time.
One of the substitutes, Aaaron Amardi-Holloway opened the scoring less than a minute into the second half with an improvised finish from 10 yards out after Ryan McLaughlin crossed it into the penalty area.
On 63 minutes, Nash defender, Daniel Shaw levelled the home side up with a close range shot when the ball fell to him from a corner which was initially headed goalwards but was blocked on the line by Ollie Banks.
Latics continue their pre-season campaign and are next in action when they travel to Accrington Stanley on Saturday, July 22 (3pm kick off).
