Oldham Athletic are proud to announce they have become one of the first Sky Bet League One clubs to install LED perimeter boards around three sides of the ground.
The boards are a significant investment from the club and, as well as further enhancing the stadium, they also offer increased revenue opportunities.
We would like to thank Ledman for their support and expertise in their partnership with this project. We are very proud to be their first UK football partner and we look forward to working with them more in the future.
The engineers and designers are currently working hard to make sure the boards are operational for the home game against Fleetwood Town on Saturday, April 8.
Chairman Simon Corney said: “We have spent considerable time and effort securing this deal for the club and this is a further demonstration of our investment commitment.”
The club would like to advise supporters that the scoreboard fund has not been redirected.
The £21,000 raised from the Tifosy appeal was far below the £120,000 target.
The original fabrication, installation and engineering costs were £32,000 alone to require the health and safety certificate therefore we have spoken to a number of suppliers to find a solution and are still in that process.
The perimeter board opportunity was one that we needed to take advantage of for the commercial benefits these can provide to the club.
We hope this clarifies the situation for supporters and we are looking forward to seeing the perimeter boards in action.
