ODEON Family Stand Activities For The Game Against Sheffield United

22 March 2017

Due to the supporter relocation, the Family Stand for Saturday’s Oldham Athletic vs. Sheffield United game will be located in the bottom right hand corner of the Chaddy End (in the C).

The activities will take place in the concourse behind the stand.

There is a special visit from NBC Environment who will be bringing along a hawk, falcon and an owl.

NBC Environment provides environmental planning, ecology services, and sustainable bird and pest control to customers in sectors such as facilities management, health and safety, construction and property management.

The business was founded in 1993 by John Dickson, who saw an opportunity to use specially trained hawks and falcons as a visual and humane deterrent to discourage problem birds from settling in particular areas.

NBC’s working birds are not trained to hunt, instead their presence taps into the birds’ natural instincts to avoid predators at all costs.

This process requires a professional falconry programme to be put in place to change the habitual behaviours of a bird population over time.

Since its inception, the business has diversified to incorporate ecology and other pest solutions and the company now covers the whole of Great Britain.

Supporters are encouraged to come and see the birds and have their pictures taken. NBC will be in the stand prior to kick-off up until the end of half-time.

There is also a mother’s day theme to the fixture with young fans having the opportunity to make mother’s day cards free of charge – we will also be celebrating the event by handing out flowers to our supporters.

Additional activities available are:

Table football
Family games such as jenga and connect four
Guess the attendance
Guess the goal time
Man of the match.

In addition fresh fruit will be available from the tuck shop alongside the hot food options. Kids meals will only be available in kiosk three.
