Players Out In The Community This Week

30 March 2017

Oldham Athletic players were out and about in two local primary schools this week as pupils at Canon Burrows and Royton Hall Primary School got the chance to meet the clubs professional footballers.

Lee Croft, Kallum Mantack and George Edmundson visited Royton Hall to say hello to all the children in years three, four, five and six.

The trio were on hand to answer the many questions that the eager children had prepared for them before posing for pictures.

As a special treat the players even helped children from year five bake chocolate brownies.

Elsewhere, Oldham Athletic captain Peter Clarke and Tope Odabeyi were visiting pupils at Canon Burrows Primary School.

The pair visited children in years five and six, again the children had prepared plenty of questions for the players with them eager to learn more about the players and the life of a footballer.

Both visits were arranged through the Oldham Athletic Community Trust schools programme.

The schools programme sees qualified OACT coaches deliver high quality sports provision within schools across Oldham.

Both Royton Hall and Canon Burrows are current OACT schools partners with coaches visiting the school at various times across the week.
