Richie Wellens has been nominated for the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month award for October.
Wellens, who was officially appointed as manager in October, won three of his games in charge during the month.
They came against Crewe Alexandra, Bury and Blackburn Rovers, whilst he picked up respectable away points away to Bradford City and MK Dons.
Latics did suffer one defeat against Scunthorpe United at the end of the month but Wellens' form ensured Athletic moved away from the relegation places after taking over the club bottom of the table.
Wellens has been nominated alongside Wigan's Paul Cook, Charlton's Karl Robinson and Gillingham's Steve Lovell.
The winners will be announced on Friday, November 10.
