Saddleworth Strikers is a community football club based in Dobcross, Saddleworth.
As a club they employ a modern, child-focussed approach to youth football, challenging the win-at-all-costs mentality that is stifling development and enjoyment for young people.
Working together with a proactive attitude, adults can help develop a better learning environment for young people that puts their needs at the centre of the process.
Saddleworth Strikers have three age groups – under 9s, 10s and 12s who are all members of the East Manchester Junior Football League, promoting positive play, coaching and support. It is not about the winning, but the kids’ enjoyment.
Saddleworth Strikers u10s train Mondays 6-7pm at Oasis Academy, Hollins Road, Oldham, on the outdoor 3G pitches, with league matches on Saturday mornings. There are two squads, the Reds and the Blacks.
