Striker Craig Davies believes the atmosphere in the dressing room is one of the main reasons for the club’s current good form.
The striker, who has eight goals in all competitions so far this season, praised his teammates and believes it has been the difference.
He said: “There is a good atmosphere around the place. I feel like we have such a good bond in there.
“I know people say it and sometimes people talk nonsense when they do say it because I’ve been in dressing rooms where I’ve not thought that, but here I feel there is a good bond.
“Everyone gets on well, everyone is always laughing and joking and in the last few games, you can see that because we are digging deep for each other.”
Davies has struck up a good partnership with fellow striker Eoin Doyle but he praised the other players around him also.
“I think that people around us have been giving us chances,” he commented. “Jack Byrne, who is playing behind us, is a dream to play with on an attacking point of view.
“He’s always looking for that killer ball and as a striker that is what you want.
“Dan Gardner has so much ability on the ball to find a pass and then you have Gevaro and Queensy who have got ability to beat players and get the ball in the box.
“Me and Eoin Doyle have a good wavelength and I’m enjoying my football.
“Over the years, I have played up front as a one and a two is nice because you can share the workload.”
Looking ahead to tonight’s game against AFC Wimbledon, the striker knows it will be no pushover.
He said: “I feel like it’s easier to raise your game for teams like Blackburn where people didn’t expect us to get a result.
“People are probably expecting us to get a result tomorrow and Saturday but sometimes it isn’t that simple.
“We need to go into the game against Wimbledon and Gillingham focused or we will come away with nothing.
“It will be a hard game tonight. I don’t know much about them but I know a few of their players.
“I’m expecting a hard game, just like Saturday. The games come thick and fast and there are no easy games.
“It will be another hard game and grind but hopefully we will get the result.
“The fans have been good, even when we weren’t doing so good.
“We need to make the home a fortress, nick points away from home and carry on with what we are doing.”
