Oldham Athletic face the long trip south this weekend as they take on Gillingham at the Priestfield Stadium.
Latics were frustrated on Tuesday night as they were held to a goalless draw by AFC Wimbledon.
Richie Wellens’ men created chance after chance but were thwarted by Dons goalkeeper George Long who was in exceptional form.
Eoin Doyle, Jack Byrne and Craig Davies all went close to scoring but they were left frustrated.
That result came off the back of two consecutive wins against Newcastle United and local rivals Rochdale.
Cameron Dummigan opened the scoring in the first two minutes of the game before Matt Done equalised.
However, Eoin Doyle stole the show in the final 10 minutes of the game, notching a brace, the second of which was an absolute stunner to win the game and claim the three points.
Latics are eager to get back into action following the draw and continue the momentum from the weekend and face a Gillingham side who sit 20th in Sky Bet League One.
The Gills have picked up form recently under new manager Steve Lovell and head into game with confidence after drawing 1-1 with Blackpool on Tuesday night.
A goal from former Latics youth player Tom Eaves sealed a draw for the Gills as they climbed out of the relegation places.
Speaking ahead of the game, Latics boss Richie Wellens said: “We’ll train today and then we’ll travel to Gillingham tomorrow. We’ll stop half way down and we’ll train.
“We’ve watched a couple of videos on them, so the lads will be okay and ready to go on Saturday.”
“We obviously want a result. People always say ‘let’s get so many points out of these games’, but I’ll keep saying it again, concentrate on the performance. The performance levels are there.
“Everyone’s confident. Everyone’s playing well. Keep doing that and play the same levels we did on Tuesday night and we’ll win the game.”
Latics will be without winger Ryan McLaughlin (hamstring) and Gyamfi Kyeremeh (groin) who are still a few weeks from fitness but otherwise Wellens has a fully fit squad to choose from.

Sky Bet have listed Athletic as favourites for the match at 11/8 with the visitors 19/10 to win.
In-form strikers Eoin Doyle and Craig Davies are both priced at 9/2 to score the opening goal of the match.
