Oldham Athletic Community Trust would like to welcome Hey With Zion Primary School for this afternoon’s fixture against Scunthorpe United as they are our JD Williams Team Of The Week.
Hey with Zion are a voluntary controlled primary school with a joint Church of England and Methodist Foundation, enjoying links with our founder churches, St. John the Baptist Hey and Zion Methodist Church.
The school motto is simple, ‘to do the best we can’ and it encapsulates all that they do. Hey With Zion are proud of every one of their pupils.
As a school they are proud of the high academic standards but also understand well that there is so much more to a child’s education – the development of their personality and character, learning to respect others and themselves, and to expect the best of themselves and of each other.
A recent Ofsted report stated: “The school continues to go from strength to strength and that the pupils flourish, both academically and in their personal development."
Hey with Zion's football team practice each week at school in clubs led by children's dads and play occasional friendly matches.
The school competes each year in the Oldham Athletic Kids Cup and this year have successfully made it through to the finals day of the competition.
Hey with Zion is a proud partner school of Oldham Athletic Community Trust with every one of the children out there today a Latics fan so be sure to give them a big cheer at half-time.
