MATCH PREVIEW: MK Dons vs. Oldham Athletic

20 October 2017

Oldham Athletic travel to Stadium:MK to face MK Dons tomorrow afternoon (Saturday, October 21, 3pm kick off).

Richie Wellens was announced as manager of the football club on Wednesday and will be hoping to start his permanent reign in charge with a win.

During his interim period, Athletic won four and drew one of his five games in charge.

That included wins against Peterborough United, Portsmouth and Crewe Alexandra whilst Queensy Menig scored in the last minute against Blackburn to secure the fourth win.

Latics earned a respectable draw away at Bradford City on Tuesday night which earned Wellens his permanent position as manager.

Tomorrow's hosts MK Dons currently lie in 14th position and they have only picked up one point from their last three games.

Dons earned a draw midweek at home to Walsall after Tyler Roberts cancelled out Chuks Aneke's opening goal on 21 minutes.

Latics have Ryan Flynn and Paul Green back available following injuries whilst Courtney Duffus is still unavailable due to illness. Ryan McLaughlin is also still out with a hamstring injury.

The teams last encounter resulted in a 1-0 defeat at Stadium MK with Nicky Maynard firing a last minute winner.

The home side are favourites to repeat last season’s victory, being priced at 5/4 to win tomorrow afternoon. Oldham Athletic are 21/10 to win the match with a  draw being priced at 12/5.

Eoin Doyle levelled the scores on Tuesday night against Bradford City and he is 2/1 to score anytime tomorrow afternoon.
